Contract – Communication 8

Your Comm8 instructors want very much for each and every student to succeed in this class. To that end, we pledge to assist you throughout the semester in each and every way we can. Of course, our help is only one part of the equation. In order to succeed in Comm8, students need to know, understand and accept the conditions of this course. Please read this contract carefully, click “I Accept” if you understand and agree to all guidelines and requirements, and then click "Submit."

                                                       

                  You’ll sleep much better knowing all the ins and outs of Comm 8!

1. I understand that I must complete ALL the minimum requirements set forth in the
   course. I understand that failure to complete even one of the requirements will result
   in a grade of no-pass being issued for the class. I agree that knowing and understanding all the requirements for this course is completely my responsibility.
   
2. I understand that inflating hours on activities or listing ineligible activities will result
   in that activity’s hours not being counted toward my grade. I further understand that
   the only way I can be sure any unlisted activities will be accepted is to check with my
   instructor prior to completion.
3. I understand that waiting until the last week, and especially the LAST DAY, to submit
   my work may result in a final grade of no-pass if my hours are deemed ineligible, or if
   I have failed to meet the minimum requirements. I further acknowledge that taking
   such a risk would be my responsibility and mine alone.
4. I understand that ALL work is due no later than 1:00 pm on the Thursday BEFORE
   finals week. I further understand that if I turn in any work after 1:00 pm on that day (according to Blackboard Learning’s clock) it will not be counted and could result in a
   no-pass for the class. I understand that there are absolutely no exceptions to this
   rule and I will not ask, beg, or plead with my instructor to make them. I realize that if I
   want to make sure my hours are counted, I need to turn in work on a regular basis and
   well before the deadline.
5. IMPORTANT: I’m exceedingly aware that receiving a no-pass in this class because I procrastinated, did not meet minimum requirements, had hours invalidated, or failed to meet the 1:00 on the Thursday before finals deadline may result in my financial
   aid being taken away, my inability to transfer to the school of my choice, my ineligibility
   to play sports, or a whole host of other personal disasters. I fully and completely
   understand that this is my responsibility and my choice.
